JD merger aimed at confusing the electorate: Reddy
BANGALORE: The Janata Party has termed the merger of JD (S) and JD (U) as an exercise aimed at confusing and hoodwinking the people.
"The merged party is a loosely knit lifeless entity, ready to collapse at the drop of a hat. This will further confuse the already confused electorate," a press note issued by the Karnataka Pradesh Janata Party senior Vice-President R Pradeep Kumar Reddy said.
However, Reddy said, people are aware that JD leaders are "opportunists" and the present ploy is to grab power by hook or crook.
